2. What are your first memories of being left-handed?
I have two
1 – Of smudging pencil all over my papers when I was little because the charcoal was all over the bottom of my hand ☹ I couldn’t understand why this didn’t happen to anyone else
2 – Of my very religious friend telling me I was evil because I was left handed and liked unicorns!
3. What was the hardest thing about growing up left-handed?
Scissors. They really hurt when they’re not made for you!!!
4. Do you find being left-handed a plus or a minus? Explain.
Definitely a plus! I love being unique and having an instant and random connection with someone. I find that a lot of my friends end up being lefties and I always feel that we’re meant to be in each other’s lives, is that corny??
5. How does being left-handed affect your craft or artwork? Do you have to use special tools, different brushes, etc.? Do you have adjust your product for right or left-handed people?
I’m sure I must twist wire in a different direction than most people, but nothing that I’ve noticed so far! I did read once that left-handed people are more ambidextrous than right-handers because we have to “adjust” to a right-handed world, haha! So I supposed when I have to hold pliers in both hands this helps? I still fumble a lot though…so that may be wrong…
6. If you could start your life over and choose your handedness, would you still want to be a lefty?
Um, of course!!!
7. Why are all the smart people left-handed? Discuss.
Ha! I did a psych report on this in college, I’m so self-obsessed I know. I think maybe because we are forced to use more of our brain, adapting to a right handed world and all that ;) and we must succeed in the face of adversity! Maybe??? Maybe it’s just because we’re that great.

Wow…Richard Simmons?...I need to mull this over…maybe I’ll go sweat to some oldies. I always did kind of like him...
9. If you could make the world understand just one thing about life as a lefty, what would it be?
I’d make them all sit in those desks from school or college except they’d be LEFT HANDED DESKS, now you try being comfortable taking an exam!
10. How thrilled are you to be featured in a blog where only other lefties will be featured? Please exaggerate.
I’m disgustingly excited, like whoa. I really do love all lefties, unconditionally, and 100x more than righties ;) So much that I pull spoons from my little cousin’s right hand and put them in his left! I like to pretend my dogs are lefties as well…
